Licensed Therapist

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Washington with over eight years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults. My work is rooted in a deeply person-centered, trauma-informed, and soul-honoring approach that recognizes each individual as more than their symptoms. I hold therapy as a sacred space where personal history, cultural lineage, and inherited patterns can be gently explored and transformed. Beyond formal education and licensure, my practice has been shaped through years of immersive trainings, workshops, and experiential learning. My ongoing participation in learning reflects a devotion to personal growth as a practitioner and to meeting clients from a place of humility, presence, and lived, embodied understanding. I view learning as a living process and bring what I have studied, practiced, and integrated within myself directly into my work with clients.

My approach weaves evidence-based therapy with a holistic understanding of the mind–body–spirit connection. I view the nervous system as a form of sacred intelligence, one that has learned, adapted, and protected across a lifetime and, in many cases, across generations. Rather than overriding these patterns, we listen to the body’s language with curiosity and compassion, allowing safety, regulation, and trust to be restored from the inside out.

I work with clients of all identities and backgrounds and offer an LGBTQIA+ affirming, inclusive therapeutic space where sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, and relationship structure are respected and honored. I take time to understand the full arc of a person’s life, from early experiences through the present, while honoring the influence of culture, identity, ancestry, and lived experience on emotional and spiritual well-being.

Individual Therapy

I offer individual therapy as a collaborative and intentional space for healing, self-exploration, and growth. I work with clients of all identities and backgrounds and provide an LGBTQIA+ affirming, inclusive therapeutic space where sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, and relationship structure are respected and honored. Therapy is a place where clients can show up fully and authentically, without fear of judgment or pathologizing.

For clients who desire it, I incorporate mindfulness, grounding practices, and space for spiritual exploration into the therapeutic process, always honoring each person’s beliefs, boundaries, and lived experience. This may include gently exploring ancestral patterns and intergenerational dynamics, supporting clients in releasing what no longer serves while honoring the strength and wisdom carried forward.

In addition to traditional talk therapy, I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic awareness practices, and brain reprogramming approaches to support deep and lasting healing. IFS offers a compassionate framework for inner child and parts work, allowing younger aspects of the self to be met with curiosity and care. Somatic practices invite the body into the healing process, supporting nervous system regulation, emotional release, and reconnection with embodied wisdom. Brain reprogramming strategies, informed by neuroscience and mindfulness, support the shifting of long-standing patterns and the cultivation of new pathways rooted in safety, self-compassion, and resilience.

I am passionate about supporting clients through emotional healing, life transitions, and spiritual growth, helping them come home to themselves with greater clarity, ease, and authenticity. My intention is to support each person in cultivating a life that feels aligned, meaningful, and connected, to their inner child, ancestral roots, and sacred inner knowing.

Couples & Relationship Therapy

I offer couples and relationship therapy as a relational and intentional space for partners to slow down, deepen understanding, and reconnect beneath patterns of conflict or disconnection. I work with couples and relationship constellations across a wide range of identities and structures, including monogamous, non-monogamous, polyamorous, open, queer, and other self-designed relationships. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming and honors the diversity of sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions.

This work supports partners in strengthening communication, navigating boundaries, and understanding how attachment patterns, nervous system responses, and inner child dynamics shape relational experiences. Attention is given not only to what is being said, but also to what is happening in the body and within the relational field, supporting emotional attunement, regulation, and repair.

I approach relationship work through a trauma-informed, somatic, and spiritually grounded lens that honors consent, autonomy, and shared responsibility. Sessions may include exploring jealousy, trust, desire, and inherited relational beliefs, while supporting partners in aligning their relationships with their values, integrity, and lived truth. My intention is to support relationships that feel nourishing, authentic, and supportive of both individual growth and shared meaning.

I've had the most ease being heard and understood in a session that I've ever experienced with a therapist! She's insightful but never insistent or assumptive about the underlying causes of complex dynamics and easily puts lots of different tools at my disposal while adapting to my value system. This is something i often struggle with, and her expertise quickly helped me get up and out of a very difficult, damaging point in my life.

She has seamlessly adapted to my needs, whether its giving me a courtesy text because I’ve mistakenly forgotten my appointment amidst brain fog, or patiently rephrasing things until i understand them, or making sure i feel cared for and have goals before we end each session, I’ve had a very positive experience that's been a catalyst for a big personal growth spurt! Im very grateful to have her as part of my care team.

Alissa's approach to therapy has been legitimately life-changing for me. I came into our first sessions feeling fragmented and looking for ways to "fix" parts of myself. She's helped me better connect with my body through somatic work, reframe how I see myself, and come to terms with parts of my identity and history that I've struggled with for years. Alissa is a great teacher. She has a wealth of resources and frameworks, and is excellent at selecting an appropriate one for the moment and helping me practice applying it. I feel like I learn something new every time we meet - and we've been meeting for over two years! It's hard to believe how differently I feel about myself and my life now compared to when I started working with Alissa. I'm still working on building truly unconditional self-worth, but with her guidance and support, I have found wells of love and forgiveness for myself that felt utterly inaccessible only a few years ago. For anyone who's looking to heal old wounds but doesn't know where to start, I can't recommend her enough.
